In 2006 the inaugural Puppet Carnival took over Federation Square and ArtPlay with a fantastic array of puppet performances for children, families and adults.
In 2007 the Federation Square Puppet Carnival turns biennial. In this non-carnival year Federation Square and ArtPlay present PuppetLab an initiative that focuses on providing puppeteers and visual theatre artists with creative and professional development opportunities as well as a school holiday program that gives children and their families a hands on experience in the art of puppetry.
